I dreamed that I was in a baseball/strongman competition with Ben. I was just there to watch Ben at first, but there was one kid that was destroying everyone else, so I decided to see if I could beat him. First we had to pick 4 softballs out of a bucket filled with murky water, and throw them into a bucket about 10 feet away. Then we had to run down to a flag, then back and down again. Then there was a cylinder with a lever on it. We had to pump the lever against resistance and as the lever was pushed up, a 100 dollar bill got lifted up to the top. I actually had a better time than the good kid, but I was disqualified because I only got 3 out of the 4 balls in the bucket.
Don't know what the point of that was, but the last event gave me an idea for squatting in strongman competitions. Usually, short people have the advantage in squatting events, because they have a shorter distance to lift it and the weight has less leverage on their limbs. A way to make it fairer for tall people would be to rig the bar so that it raises another bar each time it is lifted up. The second bar would have a locking mechanism so that it won't fall, but it can only go up. That way every time you squat the bar would be raised higher and higher, and the person who gets it the highest would win. that way tall people might not get as many reps, but they would get more height per rep. it could also be rigged with a pulley system, say 6:1, so that squatting the first bar 6 feet only raises the second bar 1 foot. Amazing!
