I was atop a ledge on a huge skyscraper with my wife and her parents. In the distance I saw the silhouette of a helicopter and a hot air balloon carrying a platform. I remembered that the platform was needed for the helicopter to land on buildings without a helipad. Except the helicopter would fly behind the hot air balloon until it set down the pad, but then the hot air balloon would fly off with the helicopter.
Anyway, I ended up flying in the helicopter with my wife's dad as the pilot, and we were weaving in between buildings, and soon power lines and unfinished construction sites. I was surprised that we didn't hit anything. When we finally landed, I thought I was still in Providence, or maybe Boston, but it turned out to be some mid-western dumpy town like New Bedford or the like. The town wasn't too populated, and I ended up on the outskirts. In the distance I saw a hill with what looked like the capitol building and a row of huge old-style windmills, I guess for power. We all decided to head to the capitol, but there were some high crime areas over there. That didn't end up being an issue since they ended up coming to us. A large group of skeleton-like creatures came at us and were throwing skulls at people, which ran the risk of being lethal. The skeleton people had normal skulls, but their bodies were smooth, yet boney, but you couldn't see ribs or anything with gaps. I caught a few skulls and returned fire like a dodge-ball game. There was a long road that led towards the capitol and on the other side, we met the other group of dangerous characters. These ones were spikey, and used pine branches as weapons, as well as hard rakes. The spikes from the pine branches were sticking into people and harming them. After a good hour of battle, we all called a truce and decided to come up with a plan to deal with the next threat at the capitol. This ended the game, which I guess I was in at the time, but luckily, I had downloaded the next volume and could play further.
This was part 3 for some reason, and the Silver Surfer walked into this grand hall with rows of people waiting to hear what he had to say. As he walked up the aisle, I followed him, and really felt like this was a cool game since it was so real feeling. He got the front and announced the coming of Galactus to consume the planet. As he did, Galactus rose behind him, and I guess I was on a building, since he came up from over the ledge. Since it was a game, the graphics weren't as good as I hoped, and he was pretty much being projected onto a large skybox, so he was flat unless I looked straight up, and saw that the image took a 90 degree angle onto a ceiling of sorts. He asked The Silver Surfer if he had prepared the planet for his consumption. The surfer said not quite yet but had some gifts for him instead. He opened a trunk, and there were three boxes inside. The kind of boxes you get as packaging when you buy something like a toy. In the first was the Infinity Gauntlet. Galactus was not impressed, but the Surfer claimed that all he needed was the 5 gems and he'd have infinite power and stuff. The second and third boxes just had toy replicas of Iron Man's gloves and Wolverine's claws. After this, the volume was over, and I was treated to an ad for Wolverine's 63rd video game.
At this point I was on the show High Maintenance 90210, and watching some kid. These were all his video games, so I had to sit through some more. I walked away and was now a contestant on 'I Love New York' along with Chris. I wondered why I was there since I didn't like that woman and was married. I guess I was still in the running since the last task was a Halloween costume contest, and I did well, but the current one was a basketball dunking one, and I didn't even shoot any of them, so I was voted worst place and was told to leave. I thanked them for having me, and didn't even want to win. Back stage, I was escorted by the producer and she had some issues with me. I was all happy now, but earlier in the show I was grumpy and boring. I said I didn't care and went to park my car, but all the spaces were handicap. I saw the other two or three losing contestants coming back stage from behind the curtain, and decided to just head out on foot.
I was in a small city with criss-crossing streets and three story buildings, but everything seemed fake, and none of the buildings had working doors, so I guess it was just a movie set facade. I overheard one of the producers saying that the show was just a slave labor front, and as people were voted off, they were put to work. I kept avoiding them by staying on the other side of buildings. Finally I scaled a wall and jumped onto a low roof and snuck into one of the fake buildings. I thought this would make a great movie since nothing made sense, and I just saw where everything took me. I ended up in a ceiling and met one of the other escaped contestants. Below me a line of contestants were walking through a hallway. One spotted me, but didn't say anything. In the ceiling I met two more that were hiding, but they started attacking each other. One smacked the other over the head with a spiked bat, and then the hit was returned, but also got the first person and the third in the ceiling, so they all died.
The End
