Another soda release. Saw this randomly on the shelf, and it caught my eye, so I figured, why not? Nitro Pepsi is billing itself as a draft soda, whatever that means. I’m sure someone will know, but I don’t plan on researching it.

There were the two flavors, regular and vanilla, and it reminded me a bit of the recent Coca-Cola coffee energy drinks. I do actually like those, despite the odd taste, so I had some hope for these. Upon cracking one open, I was somewhat alarms when the can literally growled as much. A deep gutter roar replaced the normal hiss one might expect. Strange to say the least.

But how does it taste. Here’s where things go south. I could barely finish it. I theorize that the initial growl must have released all the carbonation, since it tasted flat right off the bat. It also had a milky consistency, which was probably the point, but I didn’t care for it. If I had to compare it, it would be like the Strawberry Boom Rockstar drink. I recall getting a malted Monster drink ages ago, and while also sort of close, it’s not really on par.

Shame these were close to five bucks per pack, so I have a ton that will end up sitting around for ages now.
