Dear friends,

It’s hard to believe another year has come and gone! We are all well and I hope you are too. I’ve been programming full time and teaching two classes at Salve so free time is pretty scarce. I plan to start my doctorate in computer training in March. It will take three years if all goes well. Mike has been keeping busy with Salve and various consulting jobs. He has gotten back into figure skating now that the children are old enough to enjoy it too. He placed third in the men’s adult bronze division at the Nationals in Delaware last Spring and has won some medals locally as well.

The kids are growing up too quickly! Dann is a sophomore at Our Lady of Fatima in Warren. He enjoys it and keeps busy with school, the math league, and his computer. He has been busy designing “Home Pages” not only for us, but for a couple of local businesses. If you have a WWW browser you can visit us at http://198.49.179.4/thombs/thombs.html or http://w3.bbsnet.com/~thombsm/~dann From there you can e-mail us directly or use our e-mail address thombsm@mail.bbsnet.com . Christopher is a seventh grader at St. Philomena’s. He started figure skating with Mike a couple of years ago and started pairs figure skating last summer. He and his partner Kayla won the gold medal in the juvenile pairs division at the New England Regional competition in November and they will be competing in the Junior Olympics next April in Chicago. Amy is a first grader at St. Phil’s and also enjoys skating and gymnastics, although her broken arm last summer slowed her down for a few weeks.

We all hope that you have a great Christmas!!
